China production
57 Films is china-active
57 Films signed a Memorandum of Understanding with QTV (Qingdao Television) in 2015 forming a media partnership with Shandong’s largest broadcasting network and produced the first co-production Chef Exchange.
Having visited Qingdao and wider Shandong on numerous occasions, 57 Films has a strong affiliation with the city and seeks to pursue an ongoing professional presence within this space.
Since 2015, 57 Films has worked on a range of creative projects in China. We successfully tendered to the Qingdao Municipal Government to create a high quality, creative product that showcases Qingdao to the world.
57 Films, together with Port Adelaide Football Club have produced a 24-part TV series comprising a highlights package of each week’s AFL games while also following the development of aspiring Chinese AFL player Chen, airing to a national Chinese audience in excess of 3.5 million viewers.
In 2019 we filmed a project in and around Chengdu, for the promotion of rapeseed oil and food culture in Sichuan cuisine, where some ancient practices of pressing the oil are still being used after hundreds of years. Filming for this project happened across four seasons in various locations in and around the city.
