SOUTHERN OCEAN LODGE – REBUILD

The Southern Ocean Lodge was destroyed in the bushfires of early 2020. 57 Films are documenting the rebuild process. But the rebuild isn’t just about the physical structures – the Lodge set incredible standards and  was the focus of commerce that drew in suppliers across Kangaroo Island. 

Our documentary will follow both the structural and spiritual rebuilding of these connections for people whose livelihoods are always subject to the whims of nature.
